Hate Fighters Network (HFN) from Serbia, together with its partners Beyond Borders form Italy, FuteBola Sport from Portugal, Euro-Med EVE Maroc from Marocco, Youth Development Organization from Lebanon and Jovesolides Egypt from Egypt would like to implement new capacity building project “My Story – storytelling to combat gender-based inequalities in European and MEDA countries” to promote gender equality in partner countries and to build capacities of partner organizations for combat against gender-based discrimination and violence through non-formal education, storytelling and awareness raising.
This project proposal focuses on improving existing and developing new methodologies in non-formal education in the field of human rights protection with specific focus on women’s rights and transferring those methodologies on new generation of youth workers, peer educators and overall young people. Project proposal will address several important EU and International strategic documents and polices, such as A Union of Equality: Gender Equality Strategy 2020-2025, EU Youth Strategy 2019-2027, Istanbul Convention and United Nations Sustainable development goals.
Specific objectives
To provide 24 youth worker and peer educators from 6 participating countries with the skills and competences to develop research and recommendations on gender-related issues
To develop a document with the recommendations of young people coming from 6 countries
To develop new methodology for non-formal education in the field of gender equality in the form of educational toolkit and digital gallery
To get the feedback about newly developed methodologies by educating 24 youth workers on international level and 120 on the local level
To provide 20 youth worker and peer educators from 6 participating countries with the skills and competences to develop and coordinate campaign strategies
To empower young people in 6 countries
To raise awareness of wider public about gender issues
