Co-Creating New Opportunities for Young People: Youth Living Labs Partners Meet in Cairo

As part of the Youth Living Labs program, Jovesolides – Egypt welcomed its international partners, Instituto Ikigai, IED Europe, Youth in Jordan, and Envolve Greece, to its office in Cairo for a two-day co-creation workshop.

The workshop brought together organizations from different countries around a shared mission: empowering young people through innovation, collaboration, and meaningful opportunities.

Day 1: Sharing Experiences and Exploring New Approaches

The first day focused on bringing the partners together to exchange ideas and experiences and explore new approaches to youth engagement.

The discussions provided an opportunity to share different perspectives and experiences from the partners’ respective contexts, while exploring how these perspectives could contribute to stronger local ecosystems through the Youth Living Labs program.

Bringing together organizations from different countries also created an opportunity to look at common challenges from different perspectives and explore how collaboration can support more meaningful opportunities for young people.

Day 2: From Ideas to Co-Creation

The conversation continued on the second day, with a stronger focus on practical collaboration.

The partners explored practical tools and worked together to co-create solutions, building on the ideas and perspectives shared during the first day. The discussions also contributed to strengthening a shared vision around empowering young people through innovation, collaboration, and active participation.

Across the two days, the workshop highlighted the value of bringing different organizations, experiences, and perspectives together. Through exchanging knowledge and working collaboratively, the partners continued to strengthen their shared approach to youth engagement within the Youth Living Labs program.

The Cairo co-creation workshop marked another step in strengthening the partnership and creating a shared space where organizations can collaborate to support young people to learn, create, participate, and lead.
